Icon Contracting managed construction and renovation at the St. Louis Medical Professionals offices on Watson Road in St. Louis. Foreman Fabricators was selected as the subcontractor to fabricate an attractive stainless steel cable railing for the balcony overlooking the office foyer.

The railing project was relatively straightforward, except for the difficulty afforded by making the rail on a radius to fit the curve of the exposed landing area above the office entryway. Foreman began the project by field measuring the installation location, and created drawings of the fabrication design to fit with the architect’s vision. Upon approval of the drawings and manufacturing specs, Foreman fabricated the railing using all stainless steel tubing, plate, cable and cable fittings. Foreman handled the installation of the railing, which was mounted on a wooden curb that ran the radius edge of the landing. With all the pieces made of stainless steel, the finished railing was extremely attractive, durable and easy to maintain.

The new Mascoutah, Illinois High School opened for classes in September of 2011. This $38 million new construction project is a model new facility for education, and Foreman Fabricators was honored to be a part of the school’s new look. Foreman was referred to the project by the construction firm S.M. Wilson, who recognized Foreman’s expertise for taking the architectural design for a stainless steel and glass hand rail and making it a reality. Working through Hammerts Iron Works, Foreman Fabricators helped create a showcase atrium entryway for the High School’s impressive new main building.

Foreman Fabricators prides itself on being able to handle real challenges in metal fabrication.  When we were approached by a homeowner to create a unique spiral staircase for a residence, we knew we were up to the job.  It seems another fabricator had started the job, encountered insurmountable problems with the complexity of the fabrication, and left the customer in the lurch.

A design-build firm asked Foreman Fabricators to make a cable fill railing for the Moto Europa Museum in downtown St Louis.   We supplied the balcony rail structure using stainless steel components, and installation was handled by our customer.
